District strategies

I've been watching a lot of the Let's Plays and Live streams that came out over the weekend. One thing I can say from watching other people play is it can be very cringe-worthy with some of the decisions that they are making.  For someone who hasn't had a chance to even try the game yet, I find it funny.  The information that I have taken in about the game has definitely got me thinking on how to go about playing.  Particularly with founding cities and planning for districts.  I find it funny how some are focusing on campuses early on and making sure that their cities get plenty of them.


So, has anybody started thinking about the strategies that they wish to employ when you play?
